Experience and passion. I've worked in the software industry as a designer since 1994 (before the web, through the web boom and bust and now into the 2006 growth spurt).
I know technology jargon can be intimidating and get in the way of results. I talk in plain speak and I only elaborate on concepts you need to grasp in order to make smart decisions.
I'm a one man shop, but have worked with some of the brightest minds and companies in the industry. I've gotten here by creating more than pretty pictures. Any designer can make a static Photoshop comp pretty, or even original. My visual aesthetic is slick and world class. But these days design is more than pretty pictures. Design is interaction and understanding new business models and knowing how to stoke your customers. I've owned a few companies myself. I know that real results, efficient processes and design leadership is important for any size company.
If your goals are clear and you're ready to be organized and participate we'll create solutions that are on budget, on time and meet your expectations. If your goals aren't clearly defined then you're like most of us.. we need to nurture a synergy, hammer out the ideas, form and reform them, pool together just a few talented, smart and experienced people.
