Retrieving domain name from MSN site

I have a client who used Microsoft Office Live to set up his site. The domain name he has he wants to transfer so I can build him a professional site. Does anyone know how I can get this domain from Microsoft and register it with a new host?

Thanks,
Keith

Re: Retrieving domain name from MSN site

I never used MS Office Live but they say that you (the client) has the rights to park the domain name to any registar company.

This next link should shed some light on this matter: MS Office Live Questions and Answers

I only had one experience where I had to transfer a domain to another registar and the whole process could take anywhere from 5 to 7 busisness days.

As for MS Office Live, I do believe that they will assist the client on how to transfer the domain name even if the client is no longer a Office Live customer.
