The marquee tag is not well supported - you'll see lots of cross browser differences. If you want a slightly more accessible option, you could try the Jquery marquee plugin. If javascript is switched off, the user will see all the text. This option will also reduce cross browser differences. However it's still bad for accessibility unless the user has full control of the speed of the scroll. Also, your page load times will increase due to the user having to download JQuery and the marqee plugin. You pays your money and makes your choice, I guess. Oh, and by the way, the marquee property will appear in CSS3! misuse of display hidden or display done can and will result in portions of the web site.content not being available to disabled users and should be used only with extreme caution when their use is well understood. Thanks for the input. I would have used the bbcode [sarcasm] codes, but they are not supported on this site. Sorry about any mis-understanding. Lighten up a little. |
