what causes someone who emails you from your website to have there email not come through to you. Some email I recieve and others are not coming through. I have also had this happen when I email someone from there website (it does not go through), but if I email from mail (outlook) it goes through. Thanks for your help |

Hi, There are several reasons for the emails that are sent from the website to not come through, while the ones sent from the mail clients do. Do you get any errors on the webpage where you submit the form ? You can check the logs regarding the same. Through which script are you sending the email from the website ? CDOSYS, CDONTS, PHPMail, FormMail, etc etc ? Can you provide us more details on this ? Make sure that you have rDNS setup on the domain you're sending the emails from. Also, check the ports & Smtp Mail Servers mentioned on the configuration file of the mail script. You'd also want to check if the mail server's IP isnt blacklisted anywhere in the DNS/SPAM blacklist engine's databases [SBL, RBL, XBL, etc]. -Celina ---------------------------------------- Celina cPanel Support ( Logging Modules ) |
