What do I want to dialogue about? Branding The name I have licensed with the state is Frontdoor Web Design. So, I have two web site designs, but no logo. One site I love the other I think is cleaner. I think my identity as a web designer called Frontdoor should come from the idea of a guest or client coming to your front door and welcoming him/her into your world. So, on my clean site I have : Frontdoor Web Design / The World at your Door and a picture of this door frame that is looking out to the ocean. The web site one I like though, is a picture I got permission to use from a photographer in Greece. A Mediterranean Blue door that is open. You are looking from a clean white room that has two different french-style doors with windows, that leads out to a sunny day. I love it. But it doesn?t go with the idea of coming into as much as it does going out. Hence no invitation to come into your world. Next to this beautiful picture that has ?Frontdoor? up the left side and ?Web Design? at the bottom? I have a girl who is drawing with a graphic tablet. ON the tablet is a black and white drawing of the Mediterranean Blue door and she is painting it blue. In the center is: "Front Door Web Design explores solutions for your web site through creative and technical techniques to develope an appropriate look and feel. Whether you want a dynamic entrance with Flash or a minimalist nuts and bolts design, Front Door Web Design will work hard to meet your goals. " I think the blue is striking and the girl doing the work of a designer says it all, but my daughter thinks it looks like I am selling doors. Logo: No idea except something to do with a door. lol Witty Statement like : World (meaning Internet community) at Your Door. My business card is simple. My name and under it two artists brushes on a antique brown background and nice feeling paper. So, the brush idea is supposed to emanate a good feeling that I can design. Again, lol. Branding. I listened to Stefans prodcast, so I know I need one. ;-) Mary ---------------------------------------- "Keep one leg on each side and your mind in the middle" Cowboy Mack |

http://fron tdoo r-web-des ign.com [remove spaces] Link to Frontdoor Web Design. I have to admit I had no idea what back links were and thought I couldnt post my web site here after reading the post to newbies. It will help to see what I am talking about.
