Hi Wonderweb, I almost listed http://www.computerarts.co.uk and didn't at the last minute. I can't remember why. I have it bookmarked and have tried software I found there before. I remember Gettyimages now that you mention them. Should have included them in Cat. 2. -Great tip about the mags and free cd's of images and fonts! My preference is the best solution for my client with the least cost to me I'm strickly web media and don't have a need for hi-res; however, I prefer .psd's whenever I get them.- ---------------------------------------- "The art of life lies in a constant readjustment to our surroundings." -Okakura Kakuzo Save the developers<!> Maine Webworks |

Damn - how did I miss this one? Made it sticks so it does not get burried. I personally like Morgue File - the owner used to be a member here, not sure if he still is. Also wonder what happened to WonderWeb, she has been quiet for some time. ---------------------------------------- Gu.aal kwsh yak'i itakw ijeet wugoodk LSW-WebDesign.com |

I like Morgue File too. Just make sure that you read the user's comments below each image. Some state "take them and do what you want with them" and some state "This image is part of the morguefile archive and the morguefile license. Check the terms of use." I've got them saved to favorites and more than once I have gone in to grab an image that the user was freely giving away to whoever wanted it, but on my return the user's permission was replaced with the above morgue file message. ---------------------------------------- Say what you mean and mean what you say because those who matter don't mind and those who mind don't matter. ~~Dr. Suess |
