It just took me to the error page. Hmm that's kind of weird... It said.... The page you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Please try the following: If you typed the page address in the Address bar, make sure that it is spelled correctly. Open the www.inch.com home page, and then look for links to the information you want. Click the Back button to try another link. Click Search to look for information on the Internet. Examples would be: AuthUserFile /vws/UserName/public_html/.htpasswd AuthGroupFile /vws/UserName/public_html/.htgroup AuthGroupFile /home/UserName/www/.htgroup AuthGroupFile /home/UserName/www/.htpasswd Enjoy! ![]() In my site case would it be? AuthGroupFile /home/Default/LE-Designs.net/htdocs/.htgroup or AuthGroupFile/home/Default/LE-Designs.net/htdocs/mypictures/.htgroup but in home I'm not sure how I tried it both ways and did not work. ---------------------------------------- www.Le-Designs.net ---------------------------------------- [Edit 1 times, last edit by webmstr324 at Mar 21, 2007 11:21:01 PM] |

You should have your password in a database accessed by a php asp document. This is a double measure to make sure people cannot directly access the document. We use this at Demonz to protect the client access to administrative sections of the pages through our login fields. Another popular example of storing access passwords in a database is http://www.joomla.org . In fact, it is open source software so you can get a fair idea of how it is set up. |
