Joe Clark, one of the best known names in the accessibility mvement and web design is general, as well as one of the most quoted and Leader of the WCAG Samurai has announced is retirement at @media2007 in London. Trying not to pretend That said, the outspoken Mr. Clark is not dropping off the face of the earth, just setting aside accessibility and going on to other things. I have shared words with Joe in forums off and on and he cannot be described as one of my favorite people. But he does not have to be, liking someone is different than respecting someone and I certainly respected him and the work he has done over the years. Allot of what I teach here has it's origins in his writings. I will miss his writings, but will keep an eye out for his new projects. Cheers Joe, if we ever do meet, I owe you a beer for getting me off my "Hobby Horse". |

I will miss his writings Yup, he did as much for advocating accessible web design as anyone on the planet. His 'voice' will be missed. ---------------------------------------- Quiquid latine dictum sit altum viditur |
