Firstly apologies if this has been dealt with elsewhere... I am working on an intranet and was interested in the concept of allowing users to click on my buttons to increase or decrease the font size -> is this a waste of time or worth the effort? either way, whats the best of allowing this to happen. I have tried some javascript whilst having a play but could not get it to work... Also, how would i allow users to be able pick another stylesheet (e.g. so to change background or font colour etc) Thanks as always for any advice of guidance on this, Shax. UPDATE i found this link: http://www.alistapart.com/stories/alternate/ and have got it to work. how useful or good this is... well im yet to figure that out ;-) ---------------------------------------- "Learn Once, Use Forever" http://www.curiousIT.co.uk ---------------------------------------- [Edit 1 times, last edit by ShaX at Nov 12, 2007 9:53:48 AM] |

it was quite popular at the time - to have widgets or buttons to increase the font size on a page. Now it goes more into using browsers options. So depending on your intranet possibillities, you can write instructions to users on how they could make fontsize bigger for example. Number of browsers have zoom addon or option so you can zoom the whole page. But of course you can have a CSS style switcher on PHP or javascript if you want to impress additionally. ---------------------------------------- My blog |
